How PDF Workroom tools are implemented

Each published tool page describes its actual processing route. Browser-labeled tasks use local scripts and document libraries. Server-labeled operations require explicit upload consent and run through a bounded, private worker.

Conversion accuracy

PDF-to-Word supports extracted editable text, not guaranteed layout reconstruction. PDF-to-Excel is heuristic; converted spreadsheets may need corrections. PDF-to-PowerPoint produces visual slides rather than editable object reconstruction. OCR varies by language and image quality.

Security limitations

Visual signature text is not certificate-based signing. Generic structure checks are not PDF/A certification. Cropping and metadata removal are not comprehensive PDF sanitization. Raster redaction requires visual review and is not a compliance audit.

Evidence and reporting

Tool operations are tested against real PDF fixtures during deployment. Browser and mobile end-to-end tests are recorded separately; an automated PASS does not replace expert review on sensitive documents. A tool can reject malformed or excessively large inputs without implying the uploaded file is safe or valid.

Product roadmap and missing features

Independent PDF/A standards validation, generative document translation and certificate-based document signing are not currently published as working tools. No paid AI provider is enabled.
