About Protect PDF with Password

How to use
Choose the supported file, set options if needed, read and accept the upload disclosure, then run the secure server processing step. Download and verify the result before sharing it.
Limits and quality
Maximum 18 MB input, maximum 50 PDF pages, and limited run time. File fidelity varies by format, document structure and installed fonts. Failed or corrupted files are rejected. OCR text may be inaccurate, especially for complex scans. PDF repair cannot guarantee recovery. Compression can sometimes increase size. PDF passwords do not create independent identity verification or digital signatures.
Privacy
Unlike browser-local tools, your document is briefly uploaded to our own isolated worker. Files are held in a private temporary job directory, not in the public website directory, and deleted at job completion. No user account required.
Questions
Does this tool work entirely in my browser?
No. This specialized operation requires our dedicated server engine; upload always requires explicit consent.
Are documents retained?
Job-specific files are deleted at the end of processing. The web server may retain standard request metadata but not document content.
