How to Merge PDF Files Privately

Combine PDF documents in a chosen order without submitting your files to a remote PDF converter.

What happens when PDFs are merged?

A merger combines pages from selected PDFs into one new document, normally following the order of the input list.

Choose an order before merging

Name the files clearly and place them in your intended sequence. If a contract has an appendix, check that its pages follow the contract rather than appearing at the beginning.

What usually stays intact

Page content and original page sizes can be preserved by page-copying PDF engines, but interactive elements, bookmarks, signatures and form-field names may not behave as expected after combining documents.

Check the result

Open the downloaded PDF and count its pages. Inspect the beginning and end of every source file, mixed page sizes and any rotated pages. Existing digital signatures may no longer be valid after combining PDFs.

Privacy and large files

The browser merge tool processes selected documents locally. A large PDF can still exhaust your device memory; split the job into smaller groups when needed.

Questions and answers

Can I merge PDF files without uploading them?

Yes. The PDF Workroom merge tool is a browser-local operation; the selected bytes are not sent to our PDF processing server.

Will a signed PDF remain valid after merging?

Do not assume so. Changing a signed PDF usually invalidates its cryptographic signature; verify the result independently.
